Machined some 4340 on our tl1 to make the front stub axles for the formula car. Blue chips sure are pretty.

Love a bit of lathe work, nice job on the stubs.
I had a job many years ago that would sometimes involve machining Nylon, UHMWPE & similar engineering grade plastics. When everything was perfect, cutter angle, feed rate etc, the swarf would just stream off and coil itself into a nice neat pile, I miss doing that.
